    Which Fritzbox device is required?

    You need a FritzBox Cable which is able to output a DVB-C stream. Please note that devices distributed by your internet provider usually do not have a DVB-C entry in the FritzBox interface and therefore cannot be used.

    Which TV device can I use for playback?

    All official Android TV, Google TV and Fire TV are supported. If you are using a TV with another OS like Samsung, LG, Panasonic or others, you need to use an Android TV device which you connect via HDMI.

    This app should not be installed on phones and tablets as it is not optimized for touch usage.

    Here is an overview and personal recommendations:

    Nokia 8010 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fast Android TV device with a lot of features, e.g. Bluetooth remote, LAN/WIFI, Optical Audio, Refresh Rate settings, Dolby Digital Passthrough and much more. My favorite device.
    Nvidia Shield devices ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fast Android TV devices with good update support and a lot of features
    Philips TV devices with Android TV or Google TV ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great devices with Ambilight. Make sure the TV supports Android TV or Google TV because some cheaper devices use an alternative OS which is not supported. TV integration is working fine with my apps.
    Sony Bravia TV ⭐⭐⭐ Good TV sets with software issues and bad support. Please note that LIVE TV is not working and Sony doesn't seem to be interested in fixing it. Better get a Philips TV.
    MI TV / Mi boxes ⭐⭐⭐ Cheap Android TV devices with some Wifi issues and some standby issues.
    Google Chromecast HD ⭐ Not recommended. Very slow, bad hardware choice, bad driver support, Google TV UI is inmature compared to Android TV (recommendations not available)
    Google Chromecast 4K ⭐⭐ Not recommended. Slow, bad hardware choice, bad driver support, Google TV UI is inmature compared to Android TV (recommendations not available)
    Thomson 240G ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good alternative to Nokia boxes.
    Amazon Fire TV 4K Max 2 ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Best Fire TV device. Very fast. Make sure to get a LAN and OTG adapter to have stable network connection, although WIFI 6 should do the job. Downside: Amazon pollutes their system with ads, Prime Video users now getting ads and a lot of questionable choices in future strategy and limitations in software. Some apps (like my IPTV app) are not supported and need to be installed manually.
    Amazon Fire TV Cube ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Second beste Fire TV device. Very fast. LAN included. Downside: Amazon pollutes their system with ads, Prime Video users now getting ads and a lot of questionable choices in future strategy and limitations in software. Some apps (like my IPTV app) are not supported and need to be installed manually.
    Amazon Fire TV (all other devices) ⭐⭐⭐ All Fire TV devices are supported. However some devices have bad WIFI support and are slower than comparable devices. Downside: Amazon pollutes their system with ads, Prime Video users now getting ads and a lot of questionable choices in future strategy and limitations in software. Some apps (like my IPTV app) are not supported and need to be installed manually.
    Android TV boxes ⭐ There are a lot of so called "Android TV boxes" which are no real Android TV devices. They use Android phone OS with some customizations. Therefore not everything is working as expected. Not recommended.
