Technical issues
Please check the time zone of your device. Some Android TV devices show the correct time but has a wrong timezone set. You can check this by opening the about area in my app. You can also change the timezone in "More settings" within the app if your TV does not offer this feature.
In settings - more settings you can enable the option "Autostart app" to start the app when
Important: Google disabled the feature to autostart apps with Android 10. It is still possible to use it with this unsupported workaround:
Install adb on your PC and enable debug mode on your Android TV device and execute this statement:
adb shell appops set de.cyberdream.dreamepg.tvh.tv.player SYSTEM_ALERT_WINDOW allow
Then enable the setting "Autostart app" in settings again
The app supports surround sound (AC3, DTS) via downmix and/or passthrough if the selected audio track supports AC3 or DTS and the device on which the app is running also supports this and has configured it correctly in the audio settings.
If the internal decoder VLC (see Playback Settings - Decoder) is used, the option Surround Passthrough must be activated under Audio Settings. If no 5.1 / 7.1 sound is heard, please set the Audio Device setting to Digital and activate the Prefer AC3 option. If there is no sound, it is due to an open problem of the VLC player that occurs on some devices (Sony Bravia and others). In this case, ExoPlayer should be used.
If the internal decoder ExoPlayer (see Playback Settings - Decoder) is used, the option Surround Passthrough must be activated under Audio Settings. If still no 5.1 / 7.1 sound is heard, please deactivate the FFMpeg setting and activate the Prefer to AC3 option.
